Thumbs up

Is it possible to change how far the passenger mirror tilts down when you put the car in reverse? I can't seem to find any adjustment settings in the manual. Any ideas?

Good question. I wanted to know the same thing. I am tall so the tilt-down function has me looking in front of my rear tire. I just ended up shutting it off. Anyone?

Isn't that the purpose so you don't curb your wheels ? Thats what I've always thought

Yes that's what I want to be able to see. Although if you are tall then you should be seeing closer to the front of the car, correct? I'm not that tall and I can't even see my rear wheel at all. It seems to me that it's pointless to even have this feature if it's not adjustable to different drivers. Aside from just your height the seats are adjustable which makes it even more difficult to have a universal setting that works for everyone.

Also, is the HUD user-adjustable or do I have to visit the dealer to reposition it? This would be a pain since I often change my seat positions depending on my mood.

DS, Your kinda high maintenance since you got you 5er. I don't think the tilt mirror function is adjustable but i could be wrong. I have the same problem, it is basically worthless to me in a fixed position. As far as the HUD, you can adjust it yourself, but it involves taking apart the dash. Apparently, from what I've read, the adjustment is behind the idrive/nav screen. Do a quick search you should be able to find it.

posted this a couple of times but what you can do is use the other seat memory button set the mirror to your likeing and save it under two when the auto feature is not quite right for you push the number to and it will go to the preset angle of your choice .

Is it too much to ask that a car do everything I want it to do?
