Default pan and gasket

I need to have my transmission pan and valve cover gasket replaced what else shuld be done at the same time? should parts be OEM, or what brand??

While the trans pan is down, it's relatively easy to inspect the trans sleeve leak and change the sleeve, if necessary. Trans pan+filter, gasket come as a kit, get that. Use proper fluid, not any off the shelf trans fluid.

As for valve cover gasket, if applicable, change the valvetronic motor gasket [that is mounted in the valve cover] as well as the valvetronic sensor gasket.

I didn't see him mention his vehicle type...........and so you do not know the engine type.......

that is why I was inserting 'if applicable'. It would be good if all thread starters give all the basic info (year, model/engine #, etc.)

and that's what happens when one "speed reads" sorry I left out the "if applicable" part.
