Hobi will sell his kit soon... check the threads, and yes my530i did it himself too, a bit sounds different to me than Hobis=no need for recoding and cutting.... but have not seen what my530i so I do not say his is not ok, just two different stuff...

I think you thought the term DMM is some kind of BMW coding

DMM is digital multi meter which is used to measure voltage, current, resistor, capacitor, connectivity, etc. Anyone in this world must use this tool to mess with BMW electronics or he'll shoot himself in the foot.
Mine has no wire cutting or coding at all. I just brought it to dealer one time to reset airbag light. The reason was that I accidentally left the key in the ignition while taking the airbag out, although battery neg terminal was disconnected. In addition, I did not have airbag reset tool at the time.

For car from upto 03/2005, new coil spring is needed, but not for those 03/2005. Therefore, retrofitting for cars before 03/2005 is about $100 more expensive than those of 03/2005 and above.
