I have that function but never uses it, doesn't every E60 have that feature? To disable just leave the mirror adjusting switch on the side that tilt down. In my case I drive on the right so mirror adjusting switch is always on the left.

You can chill Merv, I did opt for folding anti-dazzle and the passenger mirror doesn't tilt down on mine either ....still the folding is pretty canny

LOVE the tilt down mirror...use it everytime to back in within the lines...
