I try to be careful cause in Russia, Moscow our roads vary just way too much. We have really unlooked out streets and then the opposite street would be "fine" so getting bigger then my 18" M-types is a no no for Bimma

The 21"s AMG on my GL550 also do not like bad roads so I try to not take it on such roads and rely on the BMWs 18"

My Ride: 2006 525XI, Jet black on Dakota beige. Premium and winter packages. I consider myself a purist and intend to keep my car absolutely stock and shiny. 2008 328I Convertible, Sapphire black on beige interior. Premium package, NAV, iPod adapter. Retired: 2002 325I, Titanium silver on black leather. Premium package. Absolutely stock and proud of it.

I'm with you on this. Anywhere there are extreme hot and cold temperature swings, I would guess 17" should be tops for almost no damage. 18" and above is a guaranteed failure, at some point.

I got some tires from a shop, it isn't Toyo, but will do for now...
There were no damage to get rim... thk god for that...

After last weeks rain the roads here in CA are full of pot holes too! I cant imagine what snow and salt and snow plows would do to the crap weak roads in CA.
