Hate my trapezoid, style 134 rims, was tempted to buy some better looking replicas (BMW originals are far too costly :| ) but dont think their quality is that good. So im still hesitating, guaranteed but crap-looking quality or bling-bling from Taiwan. One hack of dilemma

Get some m6 or m5 replicas from www.Modbargains.com or I believe Eurorev.com. They are both members here as well so shoot them a PM. They are great quality from the feedback I have seen.

You've alleady said it in your post, you don't think the quality is as good as the quality on the original BMW parts.
SO, it's a no brainer to not buy the replicas then.

I have to admitt there are replicas on the market that are OK, but they NEVER match the same quality the original has.
I have seen so many... when picking up wrecks on the Autobahn with the tow truck... but I have not yet seen any replica that I would really trust in.


Manufacturers of replicas claim that their product is cheaper because they didn't need to invent it, so they saved money.
But in fact, they use cheaper materials. Materials that might be OK for the most people, but when it comes to a crash you will see the difference.

Those cheaper materials are also heavier, resulting in an increased unsprung mass that really hurts your braking performance significantly. I noticed that when I put 19" RS6 replicas on my previous car. It was like somebody replaced my disc brakes with drums from the 70s.

Well, my gut feel is to avoid stuff made in the PRC, especially ones where your life depends on it holding up at triple digit speeds. However, where are Miro wheels made? How about VMR, Axis, or even some of the _forged wheels? I know VMR wheels arrive by boat and good money says they aren't coming from Japan.

Taiwan actually turns out good products. They are where Japan was 30-35 years ago, and look at where Japan is now, manufacturing-wise. Don't discount stuff coming from that island nation. Yes, I said it :lol:
