Hello Guys,

I am now locked in to get an ED 550 in Munich in mid November (Fri 11) and I am wondering what you think is the best Exterior/Interior combo ?

Has anyone seen Monaco Blue/Auburn in person yet ?

I know this is a personal decision, just wanted you hear your opinions, also what is the best color combo for resale purposes ?

The options I am looking at are

rear and side window shades
rear seat heaters
navigation
sat prep
sport package
prem sound package
cold weather package

Is the heads-up display worth $1000 more ? Distracting ??

Preference for transmission is 6 speed manual.

Did I leave any critical options out (do not want Active Steering or Active Cruise).

Thanks !!

My vote is for jet black or alpine white with the auburn leather. I think those colors look the best with auburn leather. I've got the black/auburn combo and I absolutely love it.

Don't recall seeing Monaco blue, but I have seen the Orient Blue w/ Auburn and I think it looks great. Sounds like a great set-up! Good luck on the wait until November.

I can't give you an opinion on the color combo - its's personal taste.

I can tell you that once you have HUD, you'll never want to live without it - especially with nav.

How about Comfort Seats? Based on the very positive opinions of many in this forum I just ordered my 550 with them.

I saw a Monaco Blue with Beige interior on a 330i at the dealer's lot ... looked very good. I like the darker / lighter contrast and I think the Auburn would look cool too. Have you seen Auburn in person? If you like it, go for it.

I would second the comfort seats. Previously had sport seats in my '00 540i and comfort seats on '02 745 and current '05 545. Comfort seats are very adjustable, look and feel good. I find sport seats make it more difficult to get in/out of car without holding any better than comfort seats.

Colours are personal. But you can't go wrong with black interior. Bimmers seem designed to look good with black inside (and they do -- just my opinion).

All I can add is that IMHO Auburn is the most distinctive and handsome interior color. So different than bland gray and beige. Go for it, should look great w/ Monaco blue!
