Just noticed my rears are close to slicks now. I would really like all-season RFT because where I live we have moderately hard winters. Willing to trade off the stick-like-on-a-rail handling for some light snow protection. Any new tires out there? I'm leasing so I need RFT.
Also the Bridgestone have a UTQG of 140 and the Dunlops are 260, are the life of the Bridgestone really that much shorter?

I own a new set of Bridgestone R50's with the 140 rating also! But the Kauffman Tire store manager, and the BMW Parts and Service Manager at the BMW dealer in Atlanta told me I really cannot go by those tread rating guides, it really depends on the driver, and who know how these they get these and how true tread wear guides for publications are in the first place...BMW and Kauffman tire company told me, by the way I drive, (like an old lady, compared to Chris Bangle and team! LOL but seriously I do not push them to their limits like some drivers might), and I keep them properly inflated 39 rears and 35 fronts weekly. and I should get at least 30,000+ miles out of my 285-30-19, sand 245-30-19's! (I hope so, but we will see, I did end up getting a good price for all four Bridgestone R50 Sport tires for $1036.00, compared to 2000.00 for the Michelin PS2's which is the one I wanted, but of course their on backordered at Tire Rack, and all Tire store I checked with) In conclusion: The Bridgstone Sport ride smooth and handle great, with very little road noise, if any at all! Their the vest tire I owned so far, but really too early to rate them. and if still in the market for new tires, check back with me in a couple of months, and then see hat I think of them?
Sincerely,
R. Eddie Presley
PS,
I did, and if I was you, I would stay far away from Dunlops! I have heard too many bad things going wrong with them from some BMW owners here at the e60 forum.
These are my personal e60 Tire choices are:
1. Michelin's PS 2 (On backordered at Tire Rack as of 6-29-06 & still today 7-16-06 & 15:33hrs)
2. Continentals
3. Bridgstone's
