An oldie but goodie.

http://www.mobil1.com.au/performance/miles.aspx

Of course, anyone w/half a brain knows that their "scientific tests" don't really duplicate real life use, as in actual daily stop and go traffic and daily stopping the engine and starting it again, using diff brands of gasoline, climbing hills, slamming your brakes, accelerating hard, various climates, dirt, road grime, rain, snow, extreme summer heat, and cold winters etc.

It would be nice to see a modern version of this test done right and see how far they can push the engine. It shouldn't be too hard to duplicate harsh environmental test conditions, just move the dinan/treadmill/whatever they're using outdoors.

Still interesting to watch. I use Mobil 1 in my car and lawn mower

*but my lawn mower isn't BMW, it's Honda
