^lol...that was taken back in september....not that hot right now..but no white stuff on the roads

There is no actual engine temp gauge in the 5 or 3 series E60, E90, however the E66 had one built in on the Rpm that was a pretty cool feature that I miss.

Is that what that's for ....I was under the impresion it was telling you what rpms to limit your car to..(when cold)

Exactly, so when it goes down, you know the engine temp technically without having an actual number. So you can automatically assume that if it vanished completely your engine is overheating.

Can someone that has an older E60 with the temp gauge still working on the RPM gauge please send me a picture? I would like to see what it looked like.

Apparently, the hash marks near the red-line of the tach moved to the 4-5000 RPM mark. I have never seen mine move and would like to know what that looked like. Can't figure out why BMW would remove that feature?
