My Ride: 08 550i. Alpine white with M sport option
05 S4. Black on black.
I have an S4 and a 550i. My S4 is the 4.2L V8 440hp AWD and Quattro is the secret to that cars serious 60ft time. My S4 is auto, so I torque it up and let the break go and it really blasts off the line, a lot faster than my 550i with RWD. Once moving the 550i is faster, but AWD has a hole shot that can't be beat. I honestly think I like the driving experience in the Audi better than the BMW (550i gas pedal is werid) but the styling in the BMW is so nice. Really I'm happy with both cars, if you have only one car and you get snow buy the Audi.

My Ride: 2008 535i LCI with sports/premium package, Sports trans with paddle shifters, CF emblems, JB4 Software, Dinan Exhaust, Navigation, M5Tech body kit, Carbon wrap interrior trim and CIC Controller.
Now dont get me wrong my car is pretty nifty on takeoff in "m" mode and on highways she gets up there, but you guys would have to see what I saw to understand where im coming from, and plus the interior/exterior styling is awesome. I dont mean to sound like a traitor but it is what it is..I'll post pics and vids from my test drive..dont be mad fellow bimmermen, I know how serious some of you guys take these "majestic works of art"

BTW, I seen a similar takeoff once in a Subaru with four teenagers in it. Not sure what they did, but it seemed very quick!

my neighbor has an S4 nice car, but all things considered I would have to stick with a Bimmer. The total experience is just a notch better. I agree with some of the other response on here; if you looking at a S4 might as well consider the M3, it is the benchmark.

its not that people are shitting on the 528i....its just that guys who are somewhat knowledgeable about cars would know to never ever race anything in a 528i. that car is made as an entry level 5 series for plush amenities, nice ride comfort and first class styling...not for challenging someone off the line.
i think the snickering here is based on the fact that to get a job done, you use the right tool and 528i is not the right tool in the situation u described. sorry dude.
