Is this old or new software on my CCC Nav unit?
#1
I know with M-ASK units brown menus = old software & grey menus = newer software.
Is that the same with CCC Nav units? Can anyone tell if this is old or newer software?
It's the first CCC units without those 8 preset buttons but I want to know if it has updated software so I can have Simon do that low slope coding thing. I'm trying to save myself another trip otherwise I'll order high controller before I meet with him.
BMW logo does splash on screen for a few seconds if that helps.

Hm, that looks a bit spiffy-er than mine does. On the first screenshot.. mine doesn't have those neat backgrounds on the four options.
So here's a question... How does one update to this? !

its an extremely old version. Infact the SMS option shows that this had the hard wired Motorola phone.

To determine your software version, do the following, and post back screenshots of "C-ASK"...

Well my car is really old 9/03 production date. I have a TCU that doesn't have bluetooth but has BMW Assist. I used to have the Motorola CPT9000 but got the bluetooth upgrade module (BTUM) that's why it shows SMS because of the CPT9000 cradle/BTUM. Even if I updated to latest since I have BTUM it will still show SMS.

As Bruce says that old software pre- Progman v25, dv8ed the M-ask units never ever received any kind of menu colour changes only the CCC, if you have no nav or business nav (euro E60`s) nothing will change.
