Oil level sensor fault! 525d e61
hello, I introduce myself I have a 2005 bmw e61 with 400k kms but for several months I have a problem that is driving me crazy. I explain, I have the engine oil level sensor fault warning light, however I changed the sensor twice with an oem bmw sensor and I checked the wiring which is also correct and I even tried connect another computer (dde) with the ignition and the problem is still present, it appears about 30 seconds after switching on the ignition and there is no error code present in the engine computer so I no longer know where to look. I hope someone could help me...

I have inpa and ista D and I just have the fuel filter heater faulty which has nothing to do with the oil level, I tested the wiring from the sensor plug to the dde and the connection a been tested with a multimeter, the socket was clean and I also cleaned the socket

how does it code for the wrong sensor? It worked when I first had the car and it stopped working while driving and it started working again about 6 months later and the error came back a few months later and it has never been turned off since.
Ok now if it was doing that it's definitely a wiring issue. You need to follow the wire to see if it's shorting to ground somewhere. If you're sure the connector is good you need to check further back

the problem is that I have already checked the circuit to ground and the positive is ok and the ground is ok too. after the signal wire is not grounded but I would have thought perhaps that it would have been damaged and corroded which could distort the wavy signal of the sensor which would make it implausible in the eyes of the dde

You are checking the wiring statically but if it is intermittent, you'll need to check dynamically.
