Hi there ppl..

I am going tomorow to buy oil for my beamer.. Which oil do u recomend? Castrol, Mobil, Shell.. ??? The specification that i am looking for is 5W30.. Also how many liters do i need?

In the US, beamer usually refers to a BMW motorcycle as opposed to bimmer which refers to the car.

Yes, the recommended oil or their preferred oil is Castrol but strangely my SA gave me liter of the BMW longlife 01 oil and apparently that is the oil used by the service centre. Don't think I saw any mention of Castrol on the container but made in Germany. Did some reading on the web and I believe this longlife 01 oil is a 0w 40 oil.
