Oil cooler self-tapping screws

I have '06 530xi with 95,000 miles.
Since about a month ago, it is leaking oil near the oil cooler(heat exchanger).
There is a small cavity behind the oil cooler and before the oil filter cap that collects oil.
After some online investigation, I think the gasket, (the part #5 in the line below), needs to be replaced.

What I don't know is what to do with the three self-tapping screws that holds the oil cooler to the oil filter unit. Generally speaking, are the self-tapping screws reusable? If they are not reusable, do I buy a new set of self-tapping screws or regular screws? Is it safe to use a self-tapping screw without damaging the previously tapped thread?
I am new at auto repair.
Thank you in advance.

They're probably aluminum and these engines run hot and then cold and at 95K miles I would just go to ACE and get some new screws. You'll find the same ones I'm sure. If they are torx opt for hex heads and go with a stainless steel or something that doesn't rust and handles hot temps. I did for my trans pan a while ago. and used copper washers similar to the oil drain pain.
