just curious will this oil fit my gearbox?

BMW 5'er E60, Automatic/Triptronic, 2004, 520i.

Oil grade standard is SHELL M-1375.4 which you have got right. Change the oil and filer every 40K's, I would recommend ZF lifegaurd 6 or Liqui Moly Top Tec 1800 oil.

it is not SHELL oil it is SHELL specs oil called MANNOL. what is putting me off is price 48 EURO for 10 Liters??? I would choose better oil while you are trying to save on oil you can endup rebuilding complete gearbox

Well I just cannot find the perfect oil during my search on Ebay for Shell oil it gives me Dexron, I think I might just jump in to car dealer and ask them about gearbox oil prices as I want soon to change filter and oil. Used Dextron oil before and I don't think its a good oil to use.

just buy oem oil unless you want to save some $$$

Thanks bmwrider2010 I think Ill order that ZF as it seems to be the most recommended oil from all research that I have made.

How much oil would you recommend I should buy? I think there are all together 10 litres, where some of it will stay inside the gearbox not all oil is coming out, not sure how much oil I need to order any suggestions?
