Hi,
Looking to get an oil service, called 4 dealer and i have 3 prices above £230 and one at £159 but this dealer is 100 miles from me!
So anyone know of any dealers around London \ Essex that have offers on oil services?
One dealer said that they will not stamp the book unless i get my micro filters changed..?? but i have no warnings on the screen saying this needs to be done..
Thanks

Whew! They really hose you guys.
Dealers here (Scottsdale, AZ) are usually in the US$110-$120 range for an oil change.
I do my own oil changes. I buy Mobil 1 0W-40 for $23 / 5 quart jug (Walmart) so two jugs plus a Hengst filter is under US$60 (with 1.5 quarts left over for topping off between changes) for my 545i.
Changed every 5K miles like clock work, and she purrs like a kitten with 95K miles.

I second Mobil-1 0w-40 and I use the Mann filter from Amazon. In and around NYC there are like 8 or 9 dealers within 40 miles. One says it will match the price of any other dealer. I just check around and bring in the cheapest coupon. $54.99 at a dealer about 30 miles away. My dealer is $79.99, but they honor the other coupon. Maybe that will work?
