I just did send four request for quotations for the first service of a LCI -08 520dA
to two Swedish and two Estonian BMW dealers.

Let's see what they say...

It now well seems that I found a European cartel!

The Swedish companies seem not eager to give quotes nor do the Estonians.

The only Swedish BMW dealer that answered my very polite request for quotation did
start asking weird questions...

300 and busted!

Since my local dealership wanted close to $300 for an oil change on my 2004 525i, I am looking for substitutes. I am looking for a place to not only replace my oil and oil filter, but to check all fluids and replace, etc.

Does Jiffy Lube carry BMW oil? Are there any other good places you guys can recommend in the Los Angeles area that I can take my car?

Thanks guys
Does the $300 include a BJ?

My Ride: 2005 BMW 545i, Titanium Silver. Bridgestone 760s on Weds Bavaria II 18" wheels, standard sport pack size. Sport, AT. Latest job - NGK Iridium IX plugs installed.

I did an oil change myself recently. roughly $63 in oil - Castrol 0w-30 and $30 for the oil filter kit from BMW. Be sure to have a pan big enough - I used one of those self contained jobs but the drain plug blocked the hole where the oil was supposed to fall through and had an environmental disaster on my hands. Needed a big bag of oil dri from walmart for cleanup.

My 5 has 28,000 only a thermostat replaced
My X5 4.4 has 90,000 miles oil change every 15,000 miles per indication. Runs like a beast.

From four Finnish BMW dealers the service price was exactly the same, 300 Euros.

From Sweden only one of two did answer my quote:
F?renade Bil AB and the service would cost 3000 SEK that is about 268 Euros.

From Estonia there came two answers from the same company United Motors
but from two different towns.

The cheapest one was from Paldiski and the price was 3662,85 EE that is about 234 Euros.

The best offer as an attachment.
