In the service section of the iDrive, for the part with the engine oil, does the number indicate the amount of kilometers or miles left until you need to change the oil or does it show that you should change your car's oil when you've driven it to that amount as indicated? Sorry if my question is unclear, i dono how else to put it. thanks for any help...

Number of miles/km remaining until the oil change is due.
[Edit]: You will see that figure decrease over time. When there's thousands of miles/km to go, it only decreases every thousand miles. Once you're 1,000 miles/km from the next service it dcreases more regularly. When you start the car the miles/km to the next due service is shown in the display in your instrument cluster for a few seconds. You'll get iDrive putting up a message in the main display if you get very close to the next service.
