It's been 6 months since my last oil change (I've only driven the car 1300 miles in that time) so I went ahead and changed it. I installed a BMS OCC 6 months ago too. Was really kind of surprised and happy to see the catch can was completely dry. No oil residue at all when I checked it.
Even though I haven't driven it far I expected to see some blow by in the OCC. I'm not sure but maybe it's because the car is still relatively low mileage? It just turned 25,400 miles. This should mean my valves should be pretty spotless.
I do use a Mahle filter and Mobil 1 extended 15,0000 mile 0-20W oil. I can't see that being the reason though.

If you are running stock with that low of miles you shouldn't have any real oil in the occ. The oil is not from the blow by but from the pcv that gets recycled into the air intake. For me I check it every 6 months since I put 22k a year on the car and I'm running boost levels up to 18.5 lbs boost. There is usually about 2-3 tablespoons of oil in my occ. You probably have some build up but most likely not much yet.
