507.00 is a VW/Audi spec for an oil not a BMW one. Your car requires an oil with the BMW spec of LLo4. BMW LLo1 isnt suitable as it doesnt have saps in it to retain the carbon build up and protect your deisel particulate filter(DPF).

Motul 8100 x-clean is an LL04 oil so its ok.

If not Castrol then Mobil1. Mobil 1 has been the best in tests for the last 10 years.

Do not use anything but BMW standardized fully synthetic oils (LL -04) .

Mobil1 BMW LongLife -04 0W -30.

here in Poland there are many users of 1.9 TDI engine 200hp+ cars and they are reporting lower oil temp (10˚) while pushing hard on Motul comparing to Mobil or Valvo..

Mobil 1 hasnt been the best oil in over ten years. The better oils these days are some of the Fuch products(Silkolene being one of them) along with Royal Purple and Motul oils, they are more advanced than the Mobil 1 product still used(not saying Mobil 1 isnt good it is, just not up there with the best).

I use 0W-50 in my 530d ... gawd it is expensive ... but I'm gonna keep using it until the engine starts to burn it. My dealer said don't put anything thicker in before then.
