Ohainey Fix - Saggy Ass Headliner Repair without removing (we hope)
 

Scene 1, Act 1 - The Saggy Ass Headliner Fix.

I have searched posts, threads, forums & I have yet to come across a DIY for fixing a BMW E60 headliner without removing it that didn't look like a well-slapped arsh with herpes when finished. (arsh is ass for not irish people)

I've seen a post about how its easier to remove the front & rear seats, steering wheel, rear door rubber, thats after removing all the panels, hidden torx screws & knowing BMW, sensors to calculate the flex of the headliner in relation to the orbit of the sun so the A/C’s right air vent can blow 10% less air when we have a lunar eclipse.

So after you've cleared the garage, scrapped the foam off, stuck your fingers together with the 3M glue, or even worse took a piss while on the phone & forgot to clean your glueee hands. (Brings a whole new meaning to turning up with your dick in your hand) you still have to look forward to getting the headliner back in without bending or creasing it.

Oh did I mention that the sunroof is supposed to be a bitch.

To me that all feels like getting a root canal & a prostate exam while riding a rollercoaster.

So I’m attempting a fix in place and I’m going to try and film it, so if we make a f#*k of it, at least we can have a laugh at an Irishman's famous last words. “F*** those German engineers, I got this”.

“In progress & still sane” will update as we go.

i just keep a staple gun and felt squares in my cabin to shoot at any sagging portions of my headliner.

So how'd that video turn out? is it documentary worthy or a comedy? Either way I'm sure we'd still learn a few things.:P

Ohainey still trying to unglue his fingers I guess......

Maybe the Irishman glued the record button and cannot get the video camera to work.

Gotta watch out for us Irish. We can be cranky bastiges.
