Why back-up camera when there is PDC? I've never understood that. Isn't it better to hear how close you are rather than looking to a screen?

Yes - PDC is better than a camera IMHO - one does not have to focus on the screen to see dangerous objects that are too close
On the other hand, PDC does not seem to recognize foliage - so if one has a lot of scratchy bushes to back into - the camera might be better
Either way - they sure beat swiveling your neck and still not seeing everything hidden in the nether reaches around the auto

our poor guy was hit from rear:2driver behind me that was not paying attention while driving gave me a little nudge "when this happened with my oem rear my pdc was on as we were standing still but the time I saw the read I heared a big BANG :thumbsdown: so nor cam nor PDC help when sy is not respecting either the car before or the distance to maintain

My butt ugly towbar would have saved you from a gentle rear end nudge! (Maybe getting the detachable towball option I've just ordered to make her rear end look pretty again wasn't such a good idea after all).
