My Ride: 2010 BMW 530i E61, alpine white, cream-beige interior, sports-auto-transmission and a lot more-
Default

as the title says, yesterday my salesman came to my house and I placed order for one of the last produced E60's in history!
short introduction:
E60 will be produced until dec '09.
in order to fill up the production BMW divided the amount of cars that can be build till the end of december and every dealership had to buy this quote( my dealership had to buy 20 E60!)
When I went to order the car there was only 1!! remaining car that could be modified, all other cars that were ordered got their VIN already,so they couldn't be modified anymore.
so time went short and yesterday was the last possibility to order this beauty.
I placed order on brand new alpine white 530i, sports automatic with paddle shifts, complete M package including bumpers, rims, sports suspension, semi-electric and heated sport seats, heated steering wheel, cream beige/black interior, piano black interior trim, leather Dakota, Navi professional, Logic7, Xenon with cornering lights, teinted windows, HUD, Internet connection, cup holders, PDC, advanced climate control, high beam assist, mobile phone business connection, shadow line window trim.

As soon as I pick up my new puppy ( 51/09) I will make a short Fotolovestory

Next year MOdding will start and first I will change the rims to style 166 or 172, I'm undecided...

greetings,
Ivano

Internet is only available when car is standing, same as the TV connection in my current car,so when you are bored and you have to wait in your car you can surf around e60.net

Oh Boy, f+ck off!
My salesman called me,telling me it was to late to order the limousine, BMW has quitted producing the engines,so that my only possibilty is A.) take E60 520D 177hp with eveything I wanted or B.) get E61 530i with everything I wanted...

As I mentioned before, the dealership ordered only 520D as they had to buy these 10 E60's from BMW, you can switch everything on these, except the engine....

THAT SUCKS A LOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

currentyl I'm driving a wagon, I wanted to have a limo, it's sooooo sportier and for me it looks nicer, but it's not possible..

what should I do?

With the first order they gave me 18% off, now that the wagon costs about 3000? more, they give me an additional discount, totally 21% off on a brand new car...

deal or no deal??

That is disappointing, and a tough call. Since you're currently driving a diesel, at least you have a good idea of what you'd be getting. I have to wonder, however, even with 21% off a new car....given the high first year's depreciation normally, and with the new F10 coming out...is this such a great deal? 30% depreciation off normal purchase price wouldn't surprise me in the first year under the circumstances (here in the US)...though your market may be different. Unless you have your heart set on th e60, maybe wait and get exactly what you want in terms of options and engine. Pay more, but perhaps will hold it's value a little better as well. (Also, there may be some low mileage e60's available after the F10 comes out fitted out much as you like...and that would be very good buys.)

My 0.02 cents, FWIW. Good luck wth your decision.

well, that's a hard decision.
We have a restaurant and the wagon was always a huge help when I was buying things for it. You can easily switch the rear seats to fit so much in the trunk! I'm currently 25 and maybe in a couple of years my girl and I want to have kids, who knows?! This decision is tough but I think I will order the wagon instead of the lousy 520D.It's only a !!!!4-CYLINDER!!!
I am a little diappointed because I was thinking the whole time about the new car and that it should be a limo...

The main problem is the market, when the F10 will be out, they won't give me the money my currenct car deserves.
For now, I was lucky that they gave me ~14000? for a 525D,2005 with 106000km on it...the market prices are down..
But I need to buy a new car, I can't wait till next year, we have to buy it this year because of the tax authority, they won't give us a bonus for this year if we buy the car in 2010...

Let's see what I can do with an additional discount
