interesting Iceman, thought I remembered some discussion over on Roadfly from some folks having this problem. Anyway, glad you're not having an issue, but when it's in the mid-90's F here in New Orleans, the AC is run continously and I have had the problem from almost the time I took delivery. luckily it is really only an issue when you first start the car and the AC comes on. Once it has been running for a minute or two, it goes away (or at least my nose gets used to it!)

kscarrol, what I did on previous cars when I started the engine I put the A/C on max for about 30 seconds and all smells were gone.
When you have this problem the next time, try the max for a couple seconds, maybe it helps...

Thanks for the idea Iceman, I'll definitely try it tomorrow!

I've never had on any other vehicle I've owned.
I had this on a VW golf mk4, just opened the windows and put the ac on max. to get rid of the disgusting pong.

Wish there was some permanent resolution.
This solution would be pretty permanent, ksc, but we would be glad to have you in Dallas -- not near the humididitty as there is in NO.

With that said, be forewarned that I did have that moldy problem with Volvo and Acura.

I know the humidity is the problem, along with any condensation from the AC, but I've owned an RX-7, an Acura Integra, a Ford Explorer and GMC Yukon, and never had this problem before. Don't get me wrong, I love this car, it's just one of those very minor issue that you'll get taken care of when you bring the car in for something else. And I don't know about Dallas JDN, I appreciate the invite, but when it's 100+ in the summer, I'll take some humidity down here!
