jeez they want $320 for this sensor... if i dont replace this sensor right away will it damage anything? i mean the car idles rough upon start up sometimes and i noticed a slight decrease in accelaration but nothing dramatic.

looks like i need to have the dealer read the code to make sure this is actually what the problem is. i love this car

It wont damage anything, just poor driveability, consumption etc... Its best to get the code read from dealership. Use our sponsers to get 25% off the part... also check on ebay.

How to prevent it, what I did was wash the filter, face down, with luke warm water... get most of excess oil out, dry it with a cloth, let it dry for the day... Never had problems since, traps dirt etc fine, KN oils it toooo much.

If indeed it is the MAF, you can try to CLEAN the maf... read here on how to...

I would trust myself with an OBDII scanner anyday before trusting the kids who work at Autozone, Pep Boys, etc.

I have the same code, anyone else know if it indeed is the MAF? I tried electrical cleaner, but no change in the reading. Car drives fine.
