There are 38 brands of automobiles currently sold in the U.S., and only one brand achieved an increase in sales over November 2007: MINI (+43%). Well done BMW Group. The next closest brand performance compared to the same month last year was Lincoln (-8%), followed by Jaguar (-10%). Overall U.S. sales this November were 37% below last year. The BMW brand (not counting MINI) dropped 36%.

E60 sales were off 37% in November. The Mercedes Benz E-Class also dropped furiously (-49%). Its ugly out there.

So how come the BMW 7 series was one of only a handful of models that actually increased sales in November? E65 sales were up 15%!

Maybe people who used to afford the more expensive models now downgraded to the 7 series!

The deals on the "old" 7s are just about over as the new cars are being shipped. I'll bet the new 7 tanks in this economy................tough out there !
