BMW Group vehicle sales of 26,985 units in November were up 4.2% when compared to last November. YTD sales for the first 11 months of 2006 were up a hefty 7.8% when compared to the same 11 months of 2006.
November sales of the X Series were up 36.9% when compared to November, 2006 based on a great month for the X5. Car sales were down 1.0% even though the 3 Series was up 14.5% over last November.
Sales of the BMW brand were up 5.3% when compared to last November.
November Mercedes-Benz sales of 22,819 units represent a 3.4% increase from last November when 22,079 units were sold. 2007 YTD sales for MB are also up a mere 2.8%. Lexus sales totaled 24,848 units this month and thus Lexus was the sales winner in spite of the fact that sales were down 7.0% this November when compared to last year. For the YTD Lexus sales reached 294,623 units which put it ahead of BMW by just over 31,000 units.
Please note that I only report the United States sales data. December, 2007 will be the last month for my sales reports as I am ?retiring? when the December, 2007 sales reports are posted.

The new X5 4.8 is a very impressive vehicle ! From a value perspective I think it's the "best buy" full sized BMW V8 made . You can load one of these things up and they are far cheaper than a 5er, lots of fun performance and luxury ! And very practical, how many winter driving issues are posted as we speak ? I know they are very hard to find at dealers now, but this may have to do with seasonality....
