November '05 5 Series U.S. Sales Report

November sales of the 5 Series were up a significant 43.2% when compared to November, 2004. YTD sales for the first 11 months of 2005 were also up 14.5% from the comparable period of 2004.
By comparison, November sales of the Mercedes-Benz E Class were down 21.1% with sales of 3,884 units this month and 4,925 units last November. Sales of the MB E Class were down 14.3% for the first 11 months of 2005.
Please note that I only report the United States sales data.

Boy, they are cranking out those M5s - 696 in November and almost 30% more than the 550i deliveries. I would suppose that should level off to some lower number after the initial surge to take care of teh long waiting lists.

BMW only had only one mould for the V10 engine block.
Last summer thay got a second one, so now they can produce twice as many engines
for the M5 and M6.
And seemingly enough also for tuning factories as Hamann.

I want to buy a 530i or xi in the suburban DC area. Which car are dealers willing to give the best deal on (530i or xi) and which dealership can give the lowest prices. Car will probably be serviced out of the area.

Yup, I asked my salesperson today about how his allocations for 550's are............he said basically none at this time.
No problem getting M5's though.

My Ride: '04 545iS 6 spd, bought new via eBay, 11/05; Blk/Gry, Cold, L7, PDC, BMW Rear seatcover for pets.
First "Bumwa" was a new 1971 2002. High performance 5s since 1987. Beamer motorcycles too, currently on an 07 BMW K1200 GT; also a Moto Guzzi 1000 SP III.
