I've got a similar issue on a 04 530 with 70k. I feel a vibration coming from the rear of the car. I feel it in my seat. I'm trying to track it down. It's not bad enough to be noticable by everyone, but i drive 60 miles a day and feel it especially on flat smooth roads.
I've got a 6 speed and when i put the clutch in i still feel it. It seems to be more noticeable when i'm in a higher gear too.
Is this common on the e60s or just one of those things that happens?

I had new rims and tires put on for last winter in November and noticed the vibration (i thought it was the tires). I then replaced my run flats with new tires a couple weeks ago and i noticed the same vibration as the winter setup.
As for the runflats, i just noticed a lot of vibration all the time. Thank god the new tires are a TON quieter.

My 2004 530i with 98,000 miles has a bit of vibration at certain speeds and seems to come and go....a vibration for about 10 minutes...then maybe 10 minutes of no or a reduced vibration. I'm thinking it's tire related since the shop that put on two new tires recently only used weights on the inside rim...they didn't use any adhesive type on the outside of the wheels. They are stock 17 inch wheels by the way.
