Was there an M5 meet in the East Bay or San Francisco this morning? I saw two M5s traveling WB on Hwy 24 in Lafayette. The black one had its front grill surrounds painted red that matched its red striped rims or tires. It had a Sonnen BMW dealer license plate frame. I then saw to E39 M5s travelling WB on the Bay Bridge. I was in my E28 eta and didn't even attempt to keep pace with any of them!

Spotted Fiel at Wheel Techniques this morning when I was dropping off my new tires for mounting.
I know you said you were getting curb rash fixed Fiel, but what else are you really up too, hmmm???

I didn't see anything on M5Board about an M5 meet so maybe just a coincidence?

So I've been MIA from these forums for quite some time (looks like Sept '08 from my pg#3 post) but I'm back and I finally got the funds to do some mods. I'm definitely going to get new LCI tail lights for my '07 525 with Bruce's cables and I am strongly looking into doing an OEM Shadowline replacement; although I did order some Trimbrite blackout vinyl so we'll see how that looks first. One upgrade I would really like to do but am quite hesitant on doing myself due to a lack of experience in the engine compartment is the PowerBox chip. I was wondering if you guys have any local south-bay meets that I could show up to and get help to install these? I feel confident in installing all but the Powerbox myself, but it couldn't hurt having somebody there for some guidance on the others as well.

hey SiegeX.. welcome back! sorry, don't know anything about the PowerBox chip.. figure Tony/EuroCarFan might chime in, but he's probably busy with the San Luis Obispo meet this week.. maybe Tony will plan a South Bay meet even if it's just dinner or something now that the weather is getting nicer.. 80 degrees today in San Jose!

had a few sightings today.. around 1pm near the 237 off ramp at Maude Ave in Sunnyvale, spotted a silver E60.. caught my eye because it had a Hartge front splitter which I really like.. I think the guy saw me, but he didn't acknowledge.. then around 230pm at the Central Expressway / Lafayette intersection in Santa Clara, spotted a gray E60 with I think the M5 front and black wheels.. I went out of my way to wave hi, but the guy stared at me like I was crazy.. hahaha... what's up with all the stuck-up NorCal E60 owners! HAHA!
