I just purchased some rims to put on my e60. The wheels are GFG Versailles which are made by Giovanna. So after getting the rims balanced I still noticed when I got to about 50 MPH there was a vibration. So I took it to another wheel shop to get balanced. The guy said the balance was off at the first place by 3.5 oz in the front right and 2.25 oz in the front left. So he rebalanced it. Got going down the road again, and at about 50 MPH i'd feel the vibration but not as strong. So I decided to take replace my rear wheels and get it the rear balanced. Well now the vibration is starting at about 55 MPH. I def need some help. Possible get some hub rings?

Plz help

Possibly. E60s have 72.6mm hubs, if your wheels have anything larger a hub ring may help. It could just be the wheels. It seems like, for whatever reason, E60s are very "perceptive" of imperfections in wheel casting.

Hub rings for sure! If your aftermarket hubs are not 72.56, then you NEED them!

What's the center bore size on those wheels? Find out and let us know.

I believe the guy said it was 78mm or close to it. I would like to check it myself tho. How would I go about doing so?

Close only counts in horseshoes ... e60 BMW wheels are hubcentric with 72.6mm centerbore. You may need centering rings to ensure wheels are mounted correctly.

If you can't go to the manufacturer and get the spec, you could take the wheel off and measure it yourself, from inside edge to inside edge of the hub bore. This is certainly less precise, though, as these bore measurements can go to the tenths of millimeters.

78mm is way to big... You should try adding hub centric rings and see if that would eliminate the vibration. Also, there is no guarantee.

After taking it to several car shops. I found a 78mm hub rings and put it on....STILL vibrating!! I thought i may need a bigger hub ring but the guy said he called giovanna and they said 78mm should do the job. well it didn't so the guys told me they wanted to pull the tires off n see if theres a bent rim. The thing that sucks is that the wheels are true 3 piece but are now discontinued.

Has anyone had as much problems with vibrating wheels as me?

the bore size you need is 72.6mm...NOT 78mm...
