Hello,
I am new to this forum. I am going to get my very first BMW - a 535d in Feb. 2006.
My questions are - is it better that i take delivery sometime in March/April 2006 - because my colleague who got his Five series in June 2005 doesnt have Push button start, MP3 capability and so on - which is there in the Sept. 2005 version. So is it better that I wait a month or two to avail of some better standard equipment.
the second question is regarding the non smokers package - do we get a 220V AC output? or is it just a dc output? Can somebody tell me this in more detail.
thanks,
CJ.

As far as I know, is that the hard plastic bit (where you put your cigarettes), get changed for a rubber bit (so your money doesn't rattle). Thats it.

And this means when the car is manufactured!
The US MY is a marketing trick!
The factory usually also does some minor changes in March production.
But this year the new 6-sylinder gas engines where introduced in the March production!
So the most inportant thing for you is to know when your new car will be manufactured!
Choose October or April manufactured.

Hi Ricracing,
Thanks for the reply...I have ordered the car in October end., and requested delivery in Feb. so I guess it will be in production some time now...to wait till April - seems a bit tough for me , after having taken two test drives...![Smile](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/smile.gif)
