If one does not smoke he can use ashtray for coins as well. And if you take the lighter out you can use it as power outlet too? ![Ermm](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/ermm.gif)

In Germany:
standard = non-smoker
smoker option = no cost,
but every dealer throws it in automatically (resale value), unless you say that you don't want it.

What exactly is the difference between?
I chose nonsmoker which is an option (cost about $30) in Japan.
All I got was the rubber coated ashtray, and no change to the lighter.
Thought it was not worth $30 for the rubber.
Wondered if they could do anything to the lighter as well
