Has anybody experienced this weird noise that comes out of the front passenger side when the music(bass) is turned above normal? It sounds like a speaker popped, but I don't think it is because I only hear it on the outside. The driver's side doesn't make this weird noise. My best description is like the sound of a a spatula swatting flies against the wall..., if that helps at all!?!?!?! Could something be loose in the door panel or side skirt??

The only weird noise I hear from the front passenger side when I turn the music above normal is my wife yelling at me to turn it down.

Yep heard it before and can't figure it out either its happened a couple of times on my 04 545i SMG. Front passenger side speaker is not blown but the hearing the Pop you would think so. Any ideas????

It could still be partially blown... the speaker cone moves up and down in a groove in the magnet. At low volumes it doesn't move very far, but the more you turn it up the more it moves. Another possibility... any chance that someone kicked the speaker grill and it's dented in? Then the speaker could be hitting the grill when you crank it up.

That's it! Too much output!

Turn down the bass a bit, or turn down the volume a bit. If it still happens, have the amp checked.
