The noise from the inside rear of the car is as l rattly as a bloody london taxi.
I've had the door cills changed that made no difference it seems to be coming from the rear sets and the parcel shelve, i'm taking it in on monday and told bmw i don't want it back until it's sorted out. Has any one else got this problem

No problems like you are reporting. I am taking mine in next week to get the door seals changed.

I don't know what a bloody London taxi sounds like but mine sounded like there was a bird trapped under the back seat. Took to dealer last week and grabbed a mechanic to go for a drive with me. They fixed it by removing the back seat cushions and lubricated the rubbing areas. (They didn't find any birds).

Yep had that problem as well. Only solution is go find a local road near your dealer where you can repeat the rattle/noise reliably. Then go and insist that your friendly local dealers service technician shares the experience with you. To be fair to my dealer once they did this they sorted it out. From memory they told me it was "something loose" in the rear seat area!

I had metallic sounding creaking/groaning noise from rear parcel shelf area when driving over undulating roads. This was fixed last week by fitting of a new grille part in the parcel shelf.

Ya I have a minor problem... doesnt happen usually unless its over rough roads but when it does it bugs me. Definetly sounds like the rear shelf under the rear windshield thats making noise.

I have exactly the same problem. In the past twelve months the dealer has replaced a rollover bush, the boot-lid lock, the boot-lid seal, both rear shock absorbers, the rear door seals, the front door seals, the rear door seals again. On its last visit, they put flux tape on the (fold-down) rear seat catches. All under warranty but to no avail. It's booked in again on Tuesday. In desperation, I've just wrapped electrical tape around the rear-door catches and it seems to have helped, though I'll need a few days to be sure. I'll keep you posted. p.s. Did they fix your problem on Monday?
