My Ride: 2008 bmw 535i E60
Default No sound on anything Help!!

Ok so I just bought this new to me BMW 535i 2008. Every car I ever owned has been a BMW but I always stuck to 2002 and before. I still have my trusted bulletproof e46. I am getting frustrated with this garbage technology on the e60. When I bought the car it had no sound. I told the sales guy and they took it and had it fixed. I picked up the car sound was working everything fine. The next day sound goes off again no sound out of anything. Called the dealer he said leave it overnight see if it works tomorrow call me then we can order whatever it needs. Woke up the next morning turned the car on wow sound again great. Went to the gym got out turned the car on again no sound. I have read around the net and they have the SOS light come on. I have no SOS light or any other codes. I checked the fuses changed the ones for the radio & amp and checked the others. Turned the car on wow again sound. Drove to the girls house went to leave no sound again. Can someone here give me a clear way to fix this? I ordered one of those optic loops to see if it will work. Could it be the amp or the radio ? How do I check this and narrow it down? Also if its the amp are these amps and radio coded to each car? or can I just replace with a working one plug and play? I just don't trust this dealer guy its a small dealership he has no clue on whats going on. Any advice or fix or diagnosing this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

If you don't already have an OBD scanner that can read BMW's codes, the time to get one is, like now. Foxwell NT-510 is cheap and good.

Something is faulting out and you need to find out what that is. Look into INPA to find out what's going on with the system
