So I am having trouble with my 2004 E60

I have another thread with the over heating issue that seems to be resolved but now I have no heater in the car at all

First let me tell you what I know from tested and then I would really be interested in others input

So I have no light working in the drivers side (RHD) climate control switch (photo attached)

I have a fan working from the center fan control

But I have no heat on either side of the car

No fuses are blown
All the computer temperature controls are turned to high

But still only cold air

Any advice or questions?

 

What's going on E60. I would check to see if your heater core is operating correctly. Mine went out a few years back and it took me a month to figure out it was the core because only one part solenoid went out. Also check for IHKA errors. The no lights on the driver side seems fishy to me. LoL. I have no idea we're to start with that. I'll do some research and let you know what I come up with.

The only fault code I have is that the ACU sensor is faulty
But I'm not sure if this effects temperature control
I read that the dash temperature control switches can burn out but before I buy a new one I would like to check all the other areas that could be the problem

It's freezing in my car so I hope I can find the problem fast lololol

Well more drama lololol

So I bought a new heater solenoids and put it in and of course I though I would be able to warm my old Bones but still no good

So it seems it must be an electrical problem

Maybe a heater. Relay?
I see there is one under the hood on the passenger side in the sealed electrical box

I checked all the fuses and they are okay

The other way is just to bypass the electrical and put a positive line directly to the switch to see what happens

But I would like to find the problem

 

There has to be another error. The ACU does not matter in my mind. Mine has been bad for 7 years. I don't use it anyway. I'll check a couple other things. Try and do a reset on the car. Unplug the battery for 30 mins. You say you have no light on the control unit. Has it been fixed, I see lights. Also check in INPA with the car a operating temp to see how hot the car gets. Does the cooling fan turn on? Is there any air in the system? Some things just to ensure we are working with the little things checked
