I noticed today that my car was taking a while to heat up but upon further investigation I noticed that the problem was no heat at idle. While I am driving there is heat but if I stop at a light or I am parked with the engine on there is no heat. I even left it running for about 45 minutes and still no heat. There are no related idrive errors.
Any ideas?

What dial? There is no temp gauge on E60. I will check the temp via the secret menu. Heard about thermostat being stuck open, is this something I could just "pop" back or a a major DIY?

Nevermind, I remembered that I ran a blank .man for the KGM and KBM about two days ago. So I went back and ran a blank .man for the IHKA and that solved the problem.

can you elaborate on your fix, and as for the dial I was speaking of the hash marks around the rpm gauge they start off with a lot of marks then goes down to about two marks on mine when it is in the normal operation termp

I was having trouble resetting my brake light, I was getting a error for DSC. I wrote a blank .man to the KGM and KBM. I think one of those modules caused the IHKA to not interact properly. I started getting the no heat at idle after I messed with the body modules. I ran the blank .man to the IHKA and that fixed my problem.
