The M54 is aluminum block and heads. The N 52 that started in the 06 cars is magnesium and aluminum parts. M54 has no magneisum and is a totally different block and head

You are correct sir.... the N51/2/3 are totally different engines than the M54 and related N54 TT. The N55 is more closely related to the N53 ( not available in USA/Canada) with a dual scroll single turbo.

how would i go about map tuning it? thanks for the advice n yeah thats basically what i was told also just without the map tuning.

First off...thank you everyone!

NO...you are wrong. If you run a wet setup with the correct fuel/nos ratio you will not blow up your motor unless you squeeze more than 17+ seconds. I went through COUNTLESS bottles and my 545i was just fine with 110 SHOT.

P.S. Don't pay too much attn to dbae... I have a friend that has been a master mech at BMW for 12 years and he says so long as I put timed release of spray to prevent under 3k rpms then I'm golden at a 100 shot!
Thanks so much...

IMO a 100 shot is to much on a 525i. Could it take it? Yes, but not for long. Id run a 75 shot max to be safe. You wouldnt have to mess with the internals at this power level. V8 cars can typically handle 100-150 shot. Colder plugs and the appropriate safety hardware is a must.
The 100 shot is not too much, but yes to be "safer" go 75 but I just up the fuel when going over 100 shot. Colder plugs = I agree.

Well...I think you can beat a "stock" m5 for about 15 seconds and after that the m5 will be gone.

No need to tune the car. They will most likely pull the timing, but once you do that I think your car won't run that great until you start squeezing.

17 seconds - is there a mathmatical equation? Again, it creates engine strain that a car with 140k miles is not equipt to handle. You must admit, with a 525 he is better off focusing on some suspension upgrades and enjoying a better handling ride than trying to make a car with less than 190hp into something its just not.

Nice vid! Can you tell me what plugs you were running when you were spraying? Obviously you had an automatic car, were you running a window switch? Lastly can you tell me how long you had the kit on there, approx how many bottles you went through, and mileage of the car when you put it on and took it off? Sorry for the quesitons, just curious...
