I'm searching for new tires on the net and wondered if anyone has purchased tires other than name brand, Michelin, Pirelli, Falken, Kumho, etc. Seems that the 245/40/18 is relatively pricey. Looked on Shopzilla and found Achilles ATR Sport 245/40 ZR18 97W for $97 each. Tiretest.com review seems favorable. I have to think that Hankook, Falken, Kumho were rather obscure before someone took a chance on them. Wonder if anyone here is road testing non-brand tires?

Hankook, Falken, and Kumho have been around for awhile, but they haven't been mainstream for as long as the other brands. These brands are better known in drag/racing circles.
$97 a piece for these tires certainly seems attractive - why not be the first to try them out and let us know how they work out?

I have recently installed a set of Michelin Pilot Sports A/S Plus All Seasons. However, during my research Hankook Ventus V12 evo K110 tires were positively reviewed by quite some reviewers. You might want to do some research on those.
