Changes on MY 2005 are:
The wood or titanium trim will be extended to the lower part of the dashboards middle section, where the DSC and PDC buttons are. It will still not be available for the area around the A/C and CD slots.
Poplar will become available light (instead of dark only).
The surrounding of the window switches will become different, so that they'll look better. They will be somehow shiny.
The DSC button will be a DTC button, so the letters on it change.
The M steering wheel is now available
The M aerodynamic package.
The M rear spoiler is now available.
Nav will now be available with BT.
TV will now cost 100 Euro more and is also a digital TV tuner, you are now able to switch from analogous to digital (DVB-T).
SMG price increases 50 Euro.

Talking about the engines... the 550...
BMW is working to improve the 545i engine, but they don't know yet if it will be a 550...

Hey, thanks for the heads up on those. The light poplar sounds interesting.

I'm really glad to hear about the Nav and Bluetooth combo, and sure hope that it is retro-able for our 2004 cars!!!!!!!!!!

Do you have a picture of the M spoiler that is now available for the E60?

That's good news about the wood trim.

I can almost guarantee that I will get the poplar piece to replace the beige trim where the DSC buttons are.

That'll not be a problem, but the two pieces above (around CD slots and A/C buttons/dials) are still not available, that's annoying...

I think that, in order for it to look "right" that there would have to be one continuous panel of wood trim that covered the whole of the AC/NAV/CD/button strip. The 6er only has the wood/metal trim in the center portion of the dash, so they could get away with having the wood cover everything in the center dash. Our 5er's have that piece that goes from the steering wheel over to the passenger.

I'll be happy enough to just replace that beige plastic piece where the DSC/seat heater button strip is. I was told just today that my rear center console piece is in from backorder and will be shipped out today or Monday.

I'll be happy too, but it could be even better with having it all.

Most of those upgrades besides the Wood are all Euro options not here in the US. The M package stuff won't be here for a while from my understanding.

Peace

I would like to see the M5 spoiler.. The M3 spoiler was a popular (and not expensive) add on for regular 3 series
