Newbie E60 owner here with a question. I just received my 06 530I Sport/Premium and noticed a mention of comfort stop. I have tried stopping at various rates without releasing pedal pressure and the car stops abruptly...not comfortable at all. Anyone know if this system actually works or if it only works under normal circumstances.

BTW, if this is covered in another thread I was unable to find information on it and apologize for my newbie ignorance!

I seem to recall seeing something along these lines in another thread somewhere on the forum. I'll have a look and see if I can locate it. (Unless someone else beats me to it!)

My week 9 build 2005 E60 was supposed to have comfort stop, according to my dealer, but like you I can't detect it??? Perhaps its just a rumour started by BMW!!!! :thumbsdown:

Has anyone else got it and can you advise on how it all works?

Thanks for the welcome guys! I appreciate it. It's mentioned on the window sticker of the car, but the odd thing is that there is absolutely no mention of it in the owner's manual. :nono:

actually, i felt it a bit last week after 1100 miles on my car.
