My Ride: 2007 550i
Default

I sold my 06 530xi and a couple weeks ago picked up a 07 550i. I bought the car from a non-BMW dealer but under the condition that I would take the car to BMW and they would pay for anything that it needed. The car needed an oil change, new filters a computer program upgrade (for a hard shifting problem I felt)and a brake line recall. After a week of driving it I noticed that the car would take a couple seconds from when you would put the car in reverse till it engaged. It also would hiccup when you were coming to a complete stop as the car shifted from 2nd to 1st. I took the car back to the dealer today for the shift issues and was told it needs a new mechatronics which has been ordered. Thank god for CPO warranty..lol. Looking forward to getting some tips and advice from everyone here.

if u have a v8 its almost likely u need a mechatronics replaced. I don't get it why they make cars with transmission that has a fault in it. No good faith at all.
