the stock wheels are 8jx17 et 20

Would the measurements of the wheels cause any problem like when i run over a pothole?
will the wheel/tires rub against my fenders?
i was also thinking about going for 19in if they can fit well

What wheels are you looking at? Usually as long as you have the right offsets you can go with 19's.

When it comes to 19", the highest/lowest (depending on how you read it) offset I've seen advertised is +15. I'm guessing that would make it pretty flush against the fender. That's why I question +10 offset let alone 0 offset. But I've also read where guys install spacers along with there rims to make them even "flushier" to the fender, so I could be wrong.

528iDude,
These are two different things. Hub centric is when the center bore of your wheel is machined to the same size as your wheel hub on your car. This makes it so you don't need hub rings and will make sure your wheel is centered on your wheel hub preventing wobbling. Wheel offsets is where the wheel mount's to the car in relation to the centerline of the wheels width. + offset the face of the wheel gets pushed out, - offset sucks the wheel face in. Centerline of the wheel width is zero. You can have a 0 offset due to the wheel being very wide, 11-12", or how much room you got under the fender or going for a deep concave/deep lip wheels, or where the wheel hub sits in the fender. For my car a 10.5" wide rear wheel, I'm running a 25mm offset and it's flush to the fender. 1010 tires website has tire and wheel offset calculators that are pretty helpful. Check it out.

I put this pic on the wrong post. 528i had another post and I was talking about center-bore on THAT one. But still, it's nice to know if the center-bore of the rim will match your hub, so he'll know if he needs a center hub ring or not. Sometimes vendors will sell you a larger center-bore rim and NOT give you the rings. Make sure you ask for them.
