I'm about to replace mt Dunlop SP01 Run-Flats with some cheaper rubber. I like the look of Falkens (FK-452) for price/quality but have also seen some cheaper names that I recognise (one is the Nexen N3000 that I used to run on my E39).
Does anyone have any experience/reccommendations of non Run-Flats they've run on Run-Flat wheels? (I have the 18" staggered 124s, 275/35 and 245/40).
Cheers...

I've chucked my RFT out and replaced them with Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 (rear) and Pilot Preceda in the front! I had all four on Preceda until the rear tire got punctured and swapped for Pilot Sport PS2! Very different ride and noise when changing from RFT to non-RFT!
Good luck with it!

I swapped my hideous Dunlop RFT's for normal tyres and have had 2 x sets of PS2's which were great, giving just over 20,000 miles on each set.
Decided to try the Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta this time round. I have 1,000 miles on them so far and they are great - grippy, quiet and just the right amount of give. They look great and also have a wheel rim protection strip, but I have no idea how long they will last.
Total cost £546 for four installed. 245/40/R18's all round.
Let us know what you go for...

Yeah, seems most people move away from the run flats. Mine were virtually new on when I bought the car, so they're the only tyres I've tried on this car. They are quite a harsh ride (I guess with 35 profile on the backthey were never going to be soft!) really good in the dry, but slippery in the wet. (Don't mention the snow!).
Also, will be interesting to see how cheaper tyres will compare to the Dunlops...
