New Tranny-- Now What?

Hi, All. BMW just installed a new tranny in my '06 550i to address slam/shift issue. (It's the second time they have installed a new tranny under warranty-- so it's the car's 3rd gearbox.) The car has about 99k miles. CPO expires at 100k-- but new tranny has 2 yr, unlimited warranty. I love the car and want to keep it for another 5 or 6 years. Would you? I assume the new tranny will be great. (Third time is the charm, right?) And now it has new plugs, brake fluid, and a lot of other new stuff. Looks and runs great! Always in a garage at work and home. Keep or sell?
Thanks for your feedback.
PS: In case you were wondering, I did NOT change ATF in the 2 previous trannys because they did not reach the mileage level that I had targeted for that service-- 50k miles. If I keep it, I will change the ATF every 30k or 40k miles on the new tranny.

What did you do to the dealer to get 2 free tranny replacements?? Bribed them?
If you search forums there are thousands of people with tranny issues but most of the time they get to pay for the replacement.
I would run from a car which needs a new tranny every 50K miles, and that's what I am gonna do once my CPO warrant is up.

I would sell it, but a 6 speed manual 550i if you can find one.
Automatics are really bad in these cars. I have the same situation and will be selling my 545i as well once I find a good 6 speed 535 or 550i.

Thanks for your replies. I had to complain a lot to get the first replacement. The second one was promptly prescribed by BMW based upon the data from the tranny-- no fuss. I'm going to keep he car. It runs and looks great. And I love it. I'm too old for a manual tranny. I'm confident that the new tranny will be fine. (What are the odds of 3 trannys failing in a row on the same car, esp. considering that BMW/ZF most likely worked out the bugs on the new tranny after 5 years of production.) Hope I don't regret it!
Thanks again for the responses.
