Just bought a set of Pilot Super Sports and now that the snow seems to be gone, time to throw them on and put away the lame winters. Not on for a even week and bam, hit a pot hole. Luckily no damage to the suspension or wheel that was just straightened and refinished, just a big bubble in the side wall. Wondering if it's worth getting a new one. Doubt it's covered under warranty.
By the way, extremely happy with the PSS's for 102 miles I put on them. Great grip, response and comfort so far. |
Side wall has been compromised. Overtime, integrity of the sidewall will diminish (if it hasn't already). It would be safer to get a new tire...
I'm hoping the tire dealer that you bought it from could probably cut you a deal for a new one, since you just bought a new set. |
