I have been at work for 12 hours and still have 12 to go. Spent the day surfing the site and reading posts. I really get uncomforable reading the f10/e60 debates. Anyway, I brought in my owners manual and started to read through it page by page. Learned some stuff that I did not know. DS is the sport mode. What DS stands for I have no idea. Also the passenger mirror drop for reverse if the mirror switch is on the left side. You can lock the car by touching the key area with you finger if you have comfort access. And I thought it autolocked when you walked away. Glad someone did not steal my BMW. I also learned that leaving the car in neutral and getting out for a car wash is complicated. And wow are there a lot of voice commands. Not sure if I will ever change the radio or CD with voice activation.

Just bored at work. Any other neat things you guys found let me know.

I think your car wasn't unlocked.

When all the doors are closed and the car has not been locked, it auto-locks itself after about 3 minutes (even when the key is inside). I think this is the default iDrive configuration, but you can disable it. Nice feature if you leave and forget to lock your car (or don't know how Comfort Access works )
