My Ride: 04 545i Auto Sport Silver Gray Metallic - Black Leather - Poplar Premium Sound - Shades - Sat Prep 3M Clear Bra

I took my 545i in Friday morning for service, the recall & to have bluetooth enabled.

They said it would take 2 days and I could pick up the car monday AM, got my loaner (3.0 Z4 - was fun for a change - but I want my 5er back)

I got a message late Saturday night saying it would not be ready for pickup until Thursday. The service advisor said they were waiting for a new software version they were supposed to get.

I tried calling today to get more details, but he was not in. I will try and find out versions etc...

Please post more details once you get the info about the new s/w version. I just dropped off my car at the dealership for oil service this morning.

They could be talking about V.15? I dropped mine off on TH a.m. of last week for the DME recall, bluetooth, and Aux-In, and the car is supposed to be ready this afternoon. It generally takes at least 2-3 days for a software update + any other work. Let us know if they are holding it for something more recent than V. 15 pertaining to the DME recall.

P.S. They gave me a Z4 too, but only a 2.5...definitely a fun car, especially on a day like yesterday was here in the Bay Area!
